In my brief hiatus from writing, I've come to realize a few things about how I'm approaching this whole thing. I've consulted several people and so far they've given me pretty good advice. One friend reminded me about taking the slow route and building something out of friendship. This has made the most sense to me so far, not that the others weren't any good. The expectations are generally lower in a friendship situation, and the base relationship of friends is acceptable, as long as the other person is cool.
